This 1.5 million litre water tank is another example of the technical experience our team is able to bring to each project. The geomembrane liner had to be installed as a perfect fit, especially with the pinch points all around the perimeter toe. Also to ensure the liner sits just right for a long time to come, our team secured the tank with sealed ballast. It’s a solid result that speaks to the crew’s skill, adaptability, and attention to detail.
Like with most tanks, the walls are the challenges of the project. In this case we had to work around the internal wall support
This waste cell was completed in Tasmania. The design called for 8 different geosynthetics to be installed together over an area of 28000m². A total of 224,000m² of material. Due to multi layers, all 8 layers of Geosynthetics had to be installed per roll width of product. With each individual Geosynthetic Product having different manufactured roll widths, laying the materials was much more complex than a stand-alone project where a whole area can be laid and covered each day.
Multiple layers caused issues with traditional QA/QC procedures and alternative methods had to be utilised to achieve the same standard of quality assurance. Roll lengths and anchor trenches also had been considered as the Liner Geosynthetic Products cannot be joined on a slope, each of the three tiers had to planned many steps in advance to reduce wastage and keep the project running efficiently.
